President Buhari Returning to Attend APC Convention - Gov. Lalong Makes Revelation

While speaking during the swearing in of Management Committee Chairmen and Secretaries, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, opened up on President Muhammadu Buhari's return from medical vacation. Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is recuperating very fast, and would return from medical vacation before the National Convention of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
 
According to The Sun, Gov. Lalong stated this during the swearing in of Management Committee Chairmen and Secretaries of the 17 Local Government Areas, held at Government House Rayfield.
 
He said the cheering news about the recuperation of the President has caused more devastation for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who were celebrating the Supreme Court Judgement of the party and the absent of the President in the country.
 
“We are happy that our President is recuperating very fast, we are sure that he will come back to Nigeria before the National Convention of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja, I know that the opposition parties don’t want him back but by the grace of God, he will be with us.

“The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo called all the Governors and asked us whether the Supreme Court Judgement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has affected the chances of APC ahead of 2019 in any state, but all the governors affirm that APC is deeply rooted in the country and for us in Plateau State, PDP remain as a death political party.”
 
He urged the Party Executives in the state to start shopping candidates for the national convention and stressed that there will be no election but affirmation for vacant positions.
 
Lalong urged the Management Committee Chairmen, Secretaries and appointed Councillors in the 17 Local Government Areas to collaborates with party chairmen in their local government areas to give the party a deserve acceptability ahead of 2019.
