Horse Loses Balance and Crashes into Spectators in Horrific Horse Racing Accident (Photos)

Spectators were left horrified after a horse charged towards them when it lost balance and crashed into the stands. This is the horrific moment a horse lost balance during a race in France and hurtled over the barriers at the side of the course.

The horse riders at first rode in harmony

The horse, which is winning the race going into the final furlong, can be seen flipping over the barrier and landing sickeningly on the tarmac on the other side.

According to a Mirror Online, the horse sadly died as a result of the incident.

However trouble began when one horse began to lose balance

Racetrack reporter Jean Paul Argos, quoted by The Sun, said: “Five spectators from one family were hit; three girls, grandmother and daughter.
“The oldest, the most affected, was quickly supported by the medical service, she suffered head injuries.

“The other four people have been out of the hospital quickly enough.

"Jockey Kenegan Deniel has several bruises and is still under observation.”

The horse crashed into the stands hitting spectators

The shocking incident comes after five horses were killed at this year's Grand National festival - the highest number of fatalities in six years at the famous Aintree meet.

Two horses died on Thursday, two on Friday and one on Saturday, although no horses died in the main Grand National race.

Animal rights activists have frequently campaigned against the Grand National in recent years, although no horses have died in it since 2012.
