See the Difference Between How a Petty Thief and a Corrupt Politician are Treated in Nigeria (Photos)

The hypocrisy of the Nigerian society in treating common criminals and high-profile kleptomaniacs in corridors of power has been exposed by these cartoon images. 


Morality in Nigeria has come under tough questioning concerning the disparity in the treatment of common thieves nabbed on the street for stealing phones, food material or small amounts of money and the 'royal affection' shown to corrupt public office holders who rob the state blind giving birth to all manners of societal vices as the people struggle for survival in the face of economic hardships.
 
Nigerians are quick to mete out an act of jungle justice to that common robber around their neighbourhood for small scale stealing that amounts virtually to nothing but this same people put up a sycophantic attitude to unscrupulous politicians who are capable of more damage with the power of their pens using the public office as a vantage point.
 
In conclusion, stealing is wrong and should be discouraged whether on a large-scale or the other way. The society should stop setting double standards as seen in the cartoon images below:
