John Lennon and the costly shirt

The cream-coloured shirt stained with the blood of a prominent American celebrity in the face of death is to be sold for about seven thousand pounds which is estimated to be a whooping sum of N9 million. According Dailymail, a bloodied shirt of famous American star, John Lennon who was a foremost singer in the music band, The Beatles which rocked in the 80's is set to be auctioned for a whooping sum of money about 36 years after his gruesome murder by a mentally unstable fan.

Concierge Jay Hastings was wearing the white shirt as part of his uniform at the Dakota building in New York when Lennon was shot by deranged fan named Mark Chapman in December 8, 1980.

Lennon collapsed on the floor due to the impact of the gun shot and was hastily attended to by Mr Hastings with his blood staining his shirt on the chest and sleeves regions.

Mr Hastings covered Lennon's chest with his uniform jacket, took off the star's glasses and called the police. The macabre piece of memorabilia is still owned by the former porter and is now being sold at auction for an estimated £7,000.
