Nigerian Police Appoints Deputy IGs and Force Secretary

 The Nigerian Police has approved the appointment of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, who constitute a new management team for the Nigeria Police Force. In a statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Force Public Relations, the Police Service Commission (PSC), last night, approved the appointment of seven Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs), who constitute a new management team for the Nigeria Police Force.
 
“The Commission on Monday, approved the appointment of seven Deputy Inspectors-General of Police to man the seven Management Departments of the Force.

“The commission has conveyed this approval to the Inspector-General of Police for implementation. Chairman, Dr. Mike Okiro, said the officers’ promotion letters will follow in due course,” the statement read.
 
The statement listed the new DIGs and their portfolios to include;
 
1. DIG Shuaibu Gambo - Department of Finance and Administration
2. Joshak Habila - Department of Operations
3. Maigari Dikko - Department of Logistics and Supply
4. H. M. Dagala, DIG - Department of Force Criminal Investigations Department, FCID
5. Emmanuel Inyang, DIG - Department of Training and Development.
6. Ntom Chukwu - Department of Research and Planning
7. Folusho Adebanjo, DIG - Department of ICT
8. Abdul Bube - as AIG Force Secretary.
