Akeredolu has expressed his optimism about his victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State amidst the wide crack in the party leadership. A rejuvenated politician, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has boasted about his chances of success in the heated race to the Alagbaka Government House in Ondo come November 26.
Akeredolu fondly called Aketi who is representing the All Progressives Congress, APC boasted on Monday according to Sahara Reporters that his party will win the forthcoming gubernatorial election and form the next government that will entrench good governance in Ondo State.
Mr. Akeredolu made the statement while speaking to journalists at the APC Secretariat in Akure, the state capital.
"We can assure the people of Ondo State that the All Progressives Congress will form the next government in this state," he said.
He claimed that his emergence as the party's candidate as ordained by God, saying that he was neither the choice of the party's national leadership nor sponsored by any interest.
"I was not chosen, but I won the primary election because of my covenant with God. So, na God win the election," he explained.
The APC governorship candidate vowed to fulfil his covenant with the people of the state by ensuring he pays attention to their well-being if elected.
He also assured that the raging crisis rocking the party his on account of his emergence as a candidate will soon blow over.
"Whatever distraction we have now, I assure them, we can overcome, and we will get to the promised land.
"We will talk to everybody in this state on the need for us to have a change of government. Our own major concern is about the people of Ondo State" he emphasised.
Mr. Akeredolu added that the party's national leadership has initiated moves to resolve the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.
