Edo Guber Race: See What Obaseki Did After INEC Declared Him Winner (Photos)

Godwin Obaseki took to the streets of Edo State to thank the people for electing him Governor in yesterday's gubernatorial election. Edo State Governor-elect, Godwin Obaseki was pictured this evening after INEC declared him the winner of the Edo state Governorship election  earlier today.
 
The excited technocrat-turned-politician defied the rainfall to appreciate the good people of Edo as he braces up to improve the legacy of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of his party.
 
Similarly, the Jattu area was also thrown into celebration follow Obaseki's victory in a highly competitive electoral process.
 
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr Godwin Obaseki, as the winner of the Edo State governorship election which held on Wednesday, September 28.

The announcement was made after the collation of results from the 18 local government areas of Edo State in south-south Nigeria.
 
Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled a total of 319,483 votes while his closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osagie Ize-Iyamu, polled 253,173 votes.
