The church members gathered at the church over the incident
The police have raided a church and closed it down after schoolgirls were alleged to have had indiscriminate s*x orgies in the church premises. A popular church in Kenya was on Thursday shut down by police for allegedly condoning sexual activities in Kibwezi, Makueni County of Kenya. The raid on the church was led by the Assistant County Commissioner, Vitalis Ogur. The church is said to be operated by a self-proclaimed ghost-buster.
The Standard reported that numerous complaints from locals that s*x orgies involving school-going girls were happening at the church forced police to carry out the raid.
“We have agreed that the church will remain closed until we investigate the allegations levelled against the pastor and the church officials. We will get to the bottom of the matter,” Ogur said.
Speaking on the issue, the Head of the Parents’ Association at a local school, Mary Mutembei, revealed that a girl was impregnated by one of the church officials causing her to drop out of school.
But, the pastor has denied the claims saying that he is being persecuted because the locals were participating in sorcery and did not like the style of his preaching.
“These allegations are baseless. They are falsehoods peddled by traders who lead wayward lifestyles at the market and who have been unable to stomach our style of preaching and exorcising demons,” he said.
The pastor also added that his ability to bust demons had earned him a lot of enemies in Kibwezi.
