A viral video has shown what people in the Southern part of Nigeria are suffering in the hands of Fulani herdsmen who use their cows to destroy farmlands while encroaching into their compounds.
The video filmed in Enugu shows the moment the Fulani herdsmen and the cows invaded the man's compound and farms as he protested endlessly.
In recent times, Fulani herdsmen carrying AK47 machine guns have brutally murdered many in Enugu as many blame the police for not investigating and bring those killers to book. The government has continued to pay lip-service as more lives are being lost and farmlands destroyed each time the villagers complain about the destruction of their farmlands by the herdsmen.
Recently, two women were killed and a seminarian brutally murdered by Fulani herdsmen in Enugu. The people involved in the shocking murder were no where to be found. The police and security agencies have continued to feel unconcerned.
The latest mayhem orchestrated by the rampaging herdsmen has forced the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose to safeguard the lives of his people by banning public grazing in his state.
