The son of late Ogoni Activist, Prolific writer, Journalist and former adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Ken Saro-Wiwa Jnr is dead. Prolific journalist, former adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and son of late ogoni activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, has died on Tuesday.
The family of famous writer and civil rights activist, late Tuesday evening announced the passing away of their first son, following a stroke.
The younger Saro-Wiwa, who was only 47, died in London after suffering a severe stroke on Tuesday morning, according to his family.
The family said in a statement it was devastated, and requested privacy as it grieves, adding that it will announce funeral announcements at a later date.
Former president, Goodluck Jonathan, has also taken to Twitter to mourn his former aide. He wrote: "A bright star has been prematurely plucked from the Nigerian firmament. Ken Wiwa, like his father was a patriot. Adieu great son of Nigeria."
