All quarters of the Nigerian State ranging from politics to entertainment have attacked Buhari's sexist view on the role of his wife, Aisha Buhari. The strong statement by Mr. President about his wife's kitchen and bedroom roles is still generating a lot of ripples in Nigeria till today expecially with Nigeria ladies and mothers making protestation statements about President Muhammadu Buhari's utterances.
Prominent Nigerian actress, Hilda Dokuko is now the latest to react to the statement and with strong words too.
Hilda Dokubo is a Nigerian film actress and youth advocate who once served as special adviser on youth affairs to Peter Odili, a former governor of Rivers State.
She reacted to the statement President Buhari made about where his wife belongs, as she took to her Instagram page to post this video saying she doesn’t belong to the kitchen or the other rooms.

She said the "other room" Buhari is talking about is the toilet and that she does not belong there.

“My name is Hilda Dokubo and I am a woman. I do not belong to the kitchen, I go to the kitchen to fix food for my family and myself. We eat there sometimes but I do not belong there. I do not belong to the bedroom either, I sleep there, it is my rest place, my things are there but I don’t belong there. I do not belong to the sitting room, it is a lounging place, I rest there, I watch television.”
Visibly upset, and in a much higher tone, Mrs. Dokubo said “I do not belong to the other room; because I do not know where the other room is in my house except that this other room sounds like the toilet. I can not belong to the toilet. I am a woman I deserve my rights to be a human being and to be respected.”
