Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State
Governor Nyesom Wike has threatened to do all within to prevent the recurrence of what happened in his state after DSS officials stormed the house of a judge. This is the video showing the moment Governor Nyesom Wike confronted Department of Security Services (DSS) officials over their suspicious arrest sting in the dead of the night. The DSS operatives had on Friday night stormed the houses of judges in different states in Nigeria and forcefully arrested them after alleging that they were corrupt.
The news which we reported had gotten widespread condemnation from Nigerians who perceived the act as yet as unacceptable in a democratic dispensation owing to the fact that there are led down rules of punishing erring judges in the country other than using a Gestapo style to arrest them around 1a.m.
The Governor warned that if anything of such ever happens again, his people will resist it in its entirety.
Wike accused the DSS of peddling lies after the agency said it found $2million in the house of one of the judges before it was swindled away. But, Wike has said such a thing never happened.
