A woman and a child have been shot dead right inside the classroom where she was teaching. Cederic Anderson, an estranged husband shot his primary school teacher wife and one of her eight-year-old pupils to death while she taught in class before then turning the gun on himself.
According to Metro UK, Cederic Anderson, 53, shot his wife Karen, a special needs teacher, at a school in San Bernardinho in California and fatally wounded Jonathan Martinez.
The eight-year-old pupil is understood to have been stood behind the teacher at the time along with a nine-year-old who is in a stable condition in hospital.
The 53-year-old killer had a long criminal history and a history of domestic abuse and had been married to Ms Smith for just two months before the incident took place.
He had turned up at North Park Elementary School and signed in as a visitor before saying nothing as he opened fire, San Bernardino police chief Jarrod Burguan explained in a press conference.

The estranged couple are believed to have married on January 28 but were separated for around a month or a month and a half.
Mrs Smith had 15 children in her classroom at the time with around 500 in the school in total.
The school was placed on lockdown after the incident as SWAT tanks and anti-terrorism officers arrived around 10.45am.
Young children were seen holding hands as the rushed to safety.
North Park Elementary is just nine miles from where 14 people were killed in a mass shooting during a Christmas party at the Inland Regional Center social services agency in 2015.
