Two brothers have landed in trouble after conniving to steal as many as eighty drums of polyethylene at a company's premises. Two brothers have allegedly stolen about 80 drums of polyethylene valued at N15 million at a company premises in Lagos.
The two were however nabbed and were on Tuesday brought before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.
According to The Nation, the accused — Rasheed Ogunsola, 32, and Yusuf Ogunsola, 26 — both factory workers, live in Agege, a suburb of Lagos.
They are being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Raphael Donny, told the court that the offences were committed between April 30 and May 1 at Relchem Ltd, Oregun in Ikeja.
According to him, the accused stole 80 drums of polyethylene worth N15 million.
“This was discovered after a check and all fingers pointed at the accused because the goods were stolen from their end.”
The duo, however, entered a “not guilty’’ plea.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Davies Abegunde, granted the accused a bail of N1 million each with two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until June 19 for mention.
