Jose Mourinho is keen for Manchester United to wrap up a deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic before the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, reports Gazzetta Dello Sport via the Metro.
The Croatia international has been strongly linked with a move to United in recent weeks, with Mourinho a huge admirer of the tenacious winger.
United have already lodged a £35m bid for Perisic, but Inter are holding out for £44m to sell the wideman, who scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in Serie A last season.
However, the United boss is looking to have Perisic on the books before they face MLS side LA Galaxy on July 15th, leaving the two clubs with three weeks to come to an agreement over the 28-year-old’s sale.
Inter are under pressure to sell one of their key players in order to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, with the Italian outfit needing to raise €30m by the end of June to avoid further sanctions.
