Confused BBC newsreader caught in embarrassing on-air blunder

Press play below to watch the moment a confused BBC newsreader was captured rushing across the set in an awkward live TV blooper.
BBC World News viewers tuned in to watch as anchor Tom Donkin prepared to present the 2am bulletin on Saturday.

However, botched camera-work at the start of the segment seemed to confuse the presenter, who was caught darting across the studio and out of shot.
Around 10 seconds later, the newsreader returns to frame but looks at the wrong camera.
Press play to see surprise flash across his face as he realises his mistake, before the experienced journalist turns to viewers and quickly composes himself before delivering an update on Hurricane Irma.
