An over-speeding petrol tanker has reportedly fallen on a road in Lagos, spilling its content in the area. A petrol taker has just fallen at Igbo-Elerin roundabout, off Okokomaiko, Lagos state.
Passers-by said the driver was over-speeding at the point and time he tried to navigate the roundabout the tanker fell.
As at report time, petrol is gushing out of the tanker and there are no emergency staff at the scene.
Some hoodlums are said to be scooping the product from the drainage at the other end.
However, men of Nigeria Police have cordoned off the roads leading to the roundabout.
Residents of the area have been mobilised to immediately leave their houses and move a bit away from the scene of the accident.
