Efe Ambrose
The Nigeria international has been recognised as the best player for the month in review following his fine defensive displays for the Hibs. Efe Ambrose has been named Hibernian Player of the Month for September after his laudable performances for the club.
The 29-year-old played all of Hibernian’s games last month where they managed three wins and two losses in five matches across all competitions.
Neil Lennon’s side are yet to concede a goal in their last four games with Ambrose playing a key role in the defence that earned them successive clean sheet against Dundee, Aberdeen, St Mirren and Hamilton.
The Super Eagles defender amassed 58%of the total votes to beat teammates Adam Bogdan, Mark Milligan and Martin Boyle to the monthly accolade.
Hibernian are placed second in the Scottish Premier League with 17 points from eight games – two points behind leaders Hearts. They visit third-placed Celtic for their next league outing after the international break on October 20.
