The three deadly armed robbers arrested in Ogun State
It is the end of the road for three notorious armed robbers after they were arrested at a hideout in Ogun State with dangerous weapons. Three notorious armed robbers and kidnappers have been arrested by Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives in Ogun State.
Abibu Onasanya, Kamorudeen Abdulahi and Olalekan Ogunbowale were apprehended on Wednesday at their hideout in Ipoji, Shagamu with two pump action rifles, a double barrel gun, an English barrel gun and three locally made single barrel guns were recovered from them.
The suspects, who were alleged to have been terrorising residents of Ijebu-Ode and Shagamu for a long time, were rounded up following a tip off.
Speaking on the arrest, the command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) said they were being discreetly investigated.
“The Commissioner of Police (CP) Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated so that other members of the gang could be apprehended.”
