A commercial motorcycle rider has suffered a really tragic fate after his own passenger attacked him in Sokoto.
Maniru Yusufu, a commercial motorcyclist, in the Illela Local Government Area of Sokoto State, has been allegedly killed by a yet-to-be-identified passenger, who also absconded with his motorcycle, Punch Metro reports.

According to a source, the deceased, aged 22, met his untimely death when he carried the suspect to Kauyen Bayan Masallata, a village in Niger Republic, bordering Sokoto State in Nigeria.

The decomposing body of the late motorcyclist was later found by a search party at Kauyen Bayan Masallata, three days after his family declared him missing.

“When the incident was reported to the police in Illela, they claimed there was nothing they could do, adding that the victim was killed within Niger Republic’s jurisdiction,” the source added.

Funeral service attended by a representative of the district head of Illela, village and ward heads in the area was conducted on the decomposed body, before interment.
