The Golden Eaglets in 2016
A Nigerian footballer has been screened out of a competition over issues that have to do with age falsification. The Golden Eaglets kick off their qualifiers for the 2019 African Cup of Nation campaign against the Burkinababe in Niamey this evening but the sad news is that they would now be without their skipper and a right back.
The five times world champions, would now have only 15 players and three goalkeepers eligible for the campaign.
The captain and the right back both failed the MRI age test in Niger Republic during a screening for all the players intending to participate at the qualifiers.
Other Nations like Benin Republic, Burkina Faso and host, Niger Republic also lost players to the screening exercise.
